BEDsensor Actigraphy™ and BEDsensor Data™
Tactex offers two research-grade bed sensors for investigations into night-time respiration, pressure sores, quality of sleep and clinical care protocols. These highly sensitive under-mattress bed pads work by monitoring the changes in interface pressure that occur when a bed occupant moves on their bed mattress. Each distinct movement creates a new pressure "signature" on the bed sensor pad - large movements create large changes in pressure and tiny movements create small changes in pressure. Researchers, clinicians and product developers can easily capture a wide range of sleep-time data for their custom applications.

BEDsensor Actigraphy™: Night-Time Restlessness and Quality of Sleep
Monitor a bed-occupant’s sleep-wake cycle with this user-friendly Actigraphy alternative. This under-mattress sensor pad monitors the body's natural sleep-time movements - much like a traditional wrist-actigraph. Unlike standard sleep assessment sensors, the BEDsensor Actigraphy™ is completely unobtrusive. No wearable sensors required!

The BEDsensor Actigraphy™ hardware includes a 9” x 35” under-mattress bed occupancy sensor, data logging software and USB or Bluetooth interface.
BEDsensor Data: Respiration, Pressure Distribution, Custom Projects
The BEDsensor Data™ allows the end user to capture a full spectrum of pressure data from each of the 24 individual sensing elements on the Tactex sensor pad. This system is ideal for monitoring movement across the sensor surface or for capturing data for custom algorithms. This product is designed specifically for those that require a flexible tool for research or product development. A sophisticated knowledge of sensors and data interpretation is required to use this product.
