Tactex has announced that it has finalized a deal to provide intellectual property rights to Airbus, the global aircraft manufacturer. Tactex holds a worldwide license to the patented sensor technology, called "Kinotex." Under the terms of the agreement, Airbus has the rights to use Kinotex in aircraft and related manufacturing processes, in exchange for an undisclosed cash payment and on-going royalties. View PDF

24 Apr 2006 - Tactex Announces Modification Of Production Plans

On August 12, 2005, Tactex Controls Inc. announced it had signed an exclusive three-year production contract with a global producer of healthcare products. The custom sensor required for that contract was designed and validated under a fully-paid development contract, and Tactex prepared to manufacture in production volumes. 

However, Tactex’s customer has now changed its product design and does not expect to utilize Tactex technology at this point. David Lokhorst, President of Tactex, says, "This is a disappointment, to be sure. However, through working with this customer, we have again verified the robustness and adaptability of our Kinotex technology. Tactex is moving quickly to expand into other markets and to attract new customers in the larger sensor industry."  View PDF
